Open your BankFIRST Checking account.
Complete the Customer Information Form prior to coming in to open your BankFIRST Checking account. Once you have filled out the form in its entirety, see a Client Relationship Specialist at one of our 12 convenient locations to assist you in determining which account(s) fits you best.
You may also fax your completed paperwork to your preferred location – fax numbers for each office can be found on our website.
Please remember, you should never send personal, confidential information via email.
Stop actively using your former account.
Allow time for outstanding checks to clear. Destroy your ATM and/or Debit card(s), any unused checks, and deposit slips.
Move your Direct Deposit(s) to BankFIRST.
Let us notify your employer or other source that deposits funds into your old account that you would like to switch banks. Use the Direct Deposit Request Form to make this process even easier!
Transfer any Automatic Payments and Debits to BankFIRST.
Use the Automatic Payment Request Form to assist you in quickly making the switch.
Close your previous Checking account.
