Holiday Hours

Important Update: January 9, 2025 – National Day of Mourning

In honor of the passing of former President Jimmy Carter, President Biden has declared January 9, 2025 a federal holiday and a National Day of Mourning. On this day, federal offices, agencies, and major stock exchanges, including the NYSE and Nasdaq, will be closed as a tribute to the former President’s legacy.

At Bank First, we remain committed to serving our customers and community without interruption. Bank First will be open for regular business hours on January 9, ensuring you have continued access to the banking services you rely on.

Please see the FAQ section below for answers to common questions about this day. Should you have additional inquiries, our team is here to assist.

Q1: Is the bank closed on January 9, 2025, due to the federal holiday?

A1: No, while President Biden has declared January 9, 2025 a National Day of Mourning for President Jimmy Carter, Bank First will remain open for normal business operations. We will continue to provide our full range of services to our customers.

Q2: Will ATMs and online banking be available on January 9, 2025?

A2: Yes, all ATMs and online banking services will be fully operational as usual on January 9, 2025.

Q3: Why is the federal holiday not affecting the bank's hours of operation?

A3: The decision to remain open on January 9 reflects the fact that while this is a federal holiday, many businesses, including financial institutions, will continue their normal operations. We want to ensure that our customers have uninterrupted access to banking services.

Q4: How will transactions be impacted on January 9 as a result of the federal holiday?

A4: Federal Reserve Financial Services will be open on January 9, 2025 for the National Day of Mourning. As such, there will be no delays in the processing of ACH transfers, wire transfers, or other banking transactions that depend on Federal Reserve services. All such transactions will be processed on January 9 as usual.

Please note the following Federal Reserve Bank holidays on which Bank First is closed. Although online and mobile banking are still available on these days, any transactions to or from your account(s) will not be processed until the next business day.
