What You'll Need to Apply

To make the process as smooth as possible, be sure to have the following on hand for each applicant:*

  • Social Security Number
  • Valid Government-Issued Photo ID (such as Driver's License)
  • Physical Address (PO boxes cannot be used)

Businesses: Currently, digital account opening is available for LLCs and Sole Proprietors. For corporate or complex accounts, our team is ready to assist you at your local Bank First branch.

To Open an Account Online

  • You’ll need to be at least 18 years old to apply. Minor accounts require a Parent or Guardian during the application process.
  • Online account opening is available for legal residents of the United States, and residents of Wisconsin or Illinois, or existing Bank First customers.
  • Please note that additional documents may be requested during the application process.

*Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account:
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What This Means for You:
When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
