Joe Nelson

Joe Nelson, Region President, joined Bank First in 2014.  Joe leads the team of bankers in the Bank's Southern Wisconsin Region, which includes Columbia, Jefferson, and Ozaukee Counties, as well as the surrounding area. He is passionate about building long-lasting connections with his clients and partnerships beyond simple transactions. With substantial experience in the financial industry, Joe is committed to providing tailored solutions that meet his client's needs and help ensure their long-term success.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from UW-Stevens Point. Complementing his academic achievements, he is a Graduate School of Banking graduate from UW-Madison and has received an Executive Leadership certificate from the UW-Madison School of Business. His active involvement in the community extends to serving on the boards of multiple organizations, including the Mequon-Thiensville Chamber of Commerce, Rite-Hite YMCA, and Village of Thiensville Planning and Zoning. Furthermore, he chairs the Mequon-Thiensville Chamber of Commerce Golf Committee and Sporting Clay Committee. Joe enjoys all things golf, hockey, paddle tennis, and the stock market.
